Position Summary

This is an advanced professional position responsible for leading, developing, evaluating, and recommending program policy and procedure in the areas of financial and holding company analysis, and effectively implementing revisions to such procedures as directed by division management. The position trains staff on division financial and holding company analysis documentation standards, coordinates the division's analysis, performs review of financial and holding company analysis performed by lower-level staff for compliance with standards. This position requires high levels of expertise in all areas of the analysis process.

This position also requires an advanced level of knowledge of the financial examination process. The position is also responsible for identification of significant solvency risks facing Wisconsin domestic insurers, and acts as a liaison between the division's financial analysis and examination functions.

Salary Information

Starting salary for the Insurance Financial Examiner- Principle/ Reserve Specialist will be between $45.00 - $51.85 per hour, plus great benefits. In addition, up to a $1.00 per hour CPA, $3.00 per hour AFE, and $5.00 per hour CFE add-on is available for this classification. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 07-02. A 12-month probationary period may be required.

Due to the nature of the position, OCI will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. OCI does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

This position has potential for remote work on Mondays and Fridays after an initial training period has been completed. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process. Some travel may be necessary, including out of state travel.

Qualifications

Minimally Qualified candidates will meet the following:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, insurance, risk management, economics, or business.

* Certified Financial Examiner through the Society of Financial Examiners.

* Experience in acting as a lead worker.
