Airbus Americas, Inc.: Seeks Principal Engineer – Cabin Stress in Mobile, AL. The job duties for the position include but are not limited to the following: Perform detailed stress analysis of cabin or cargo components, by classical hand analysis as well as Finite Element methods, to support the structural design efforts of new & modified components from the conceptual phase to dev & cert. Generate stress substantiation reports. Develop or review structural qualif plans in accordance w/ Airbus standards & regulatory reqmts. Review & approve vendor drawings, stress reports, & test reports when delegated. Coordinate w/ design engrs, team lead, suppliers, & tech mgmt personnel to assure that the design meets or exceeds the proj deliverables & complies w/ the regulatory reqmts. Job reqs bach's deg in Civil Engg, Aerospace Engg, Mech Engg, or rel fld & 5 yrs in any job title involving exp in aircraft primary structure or cabin structure stress analysis in the commercial aerospace industry.
