Join the V Team Life.What you'll be doing...You will work with a team to create the Artificial Intelligence strategy roadmap for Verizon's Global Network & Technology teams by identifying opportunities through data analysis, design and implement use cases and track progress. You will partner with and leverage the strength of our internal Data Science center as well as with vendor partners. You will lead data science projects that drive Network Planning, Engineering, Service Assurance, and Operations activities across GN&T, working to support strategy for the best Network and best employee and customer experience.You'll work closely with a team of data scientists, big data engineers, and software developers and play a key role in developing solutions that generate substantial value for the business. The right person will be able to effectively describe & promote the organization's strategy and key messaging (usually through visual & written communications) targeted to employees, executives, leaders, and other partners within & outside of AI&D. Additionally, the right person will have high attention to detail, significant accountability & proven abilities to work in complex matrix environments.Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding business challenges (GN&T) and how existing and new AI&D solution can be implemented within the business to help improve their operations and generate business impact.
  • Leading and support the AI&D product teams to deliver product capabilities and business outcomes.
  • Working with the business teams to ensure that the assigned product has clear outcomes, KPIs, value and tracking of progress against targets is identified
  • Effectively managing product by making decisions on feature prioritization and product scope to maximize the product value
  • Developing and maintaining analysis roadmap and strategy of the business to ensure the desired outcomes are achievable within the roadmap
  • Optimizing, automating, and governing the use of project management tools such as JIRA .
  • Optimizing, automating, and governing resource management, Agile Product Model assignments, Agile Product Model taxonomy using tools such as Clarity & FIT.
  • Evolving methodology & mindset to ensure effectiveness and scalability across VGS Technology and Business to adapt processes that reflect & encourage Agile 2.0 ways of working.
  • Supporting the product team with decisions related to new concepts based on data analytics.
  • Shaping ideas into business cases. Assess requirement and use case formulation.
  • Developing strategies to fix the business problems and partner with stakeholders to design and implement changes.
  • Evaluating and testing various alternative approaches and recommending the path forward.
  • Managing project risks and mitigation plans in collaboration with partners including VGS Technology (primarily PATLs,PTLs,& RTEs) and Business.
  • Articulating project risks & their impact on the business to drive action as needed.
  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques to support Leadership & organizational decision making.
  • Providing ongoing reports using Google Sheets/Excel & Visualization Tools like Google Looker Studio.
  • Designing, analyzing, and preparing documentation and reporting in support of process implementation and communication in conjunction with your peers and leadership.
  • Developing and implementing measurable criteria to validate process improvements and evaluate post-implementation success.
  • Making operational and strategic recommendations on key programs and objectives.
  • Handling all executive and business-facing PMO-related reports
  • Proactively coordinating with executive stakeholders to ensure consistency and clarity in communications of key changes & new processes to working teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement, leveraging the latest industry knowledge and methods for technical project and program delivery.
  • Ensuring the organization meets the metrics set-forth by leadership including administrative metrics & and KPIs.What we're looking for...You'll need to have:
    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
    • Experience using project management tools, office productivity, and data analytics tools.
    • Behavior/predictive analysis and/or data analytics development experience.
    • Experience with SQL.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
      • Bachelor's/Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, analytics, engineering, computer science, or another technical discipline. MBA.
      • Dedication and determination to see things through from start to finish.
      • Experience working with people from all working backgrounds and functions; with a knack for developing relationships.
      • Experience with presenting plans to all levels of management across an organization.
      • Product development or analytics experience in the technology sector.
      • Experience Hive and BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, ThoughtSpot.
      • Knowledge of scripting languages. Ideally, Python/Pyspark/R.
      • Ability to develop and maintain deep, trust-based business relationships.
      • Experience building, analyzing, updating, and rebuilding executive presentations.
      • Presentation, communication, and leadership skills both internal and external to the organization.
      • Knowledge of Google Slides, Google Sheet & other Google Suite Products.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others through influence.
      • Strategy & operations experience at a leading management consulting firm.
      • Experience with storytelling skills and a commitment to excellence with issues and problems.
      • Experience in formulating and implementing strategies within well-defined time frames w/multiple stakeholders.
