Principal, Enterprise Application Engineer Location: New Jersey Company: Wiley Summary of the Role: Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Applications, we are looking for an experienced and skilledSTIBO MDM lead to join our team. This lead will be responsible for solution design and implementation of STEP product MDM for various Wiley businesses, drive technology roadmap in clear alignment with technology and business stakeholders and help simplify fragmented product master data governance processes. This lead will define product MDM strategy, architecture, design, integration and deployment efforts, ensuring data quality and data governance standards are met. This lead will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, technology architects, provide technical leadership and expertise and can independently prioritize and manage STIBO initiatives within Wiley using industry standard best practices and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations. How you will make an impact:
- Lead design and implementation of STIBO Systems Master Data Management (MDM) platform with strong expertise and knowledge of product domain - including workflow automation, business rules management, data modeling, digital asset management, web UI design, integration, and syndication efforts.
- Define detailed STIBO solution architecture, data models and drive solution design workshops.
- Implement product MDM best practices in key areas including data modeling, data profiling, data quality assessment, data integration and data governance.
- Provide technical leadership to the project team, support data mapping, define policies and business rules for master data creation and maintenance working together with business stakeholders.
- Guide project team in STEP data migration and import/export activities, independently drive cutover and deployment efforts in STIBO rollouts with a deep understanding of user groups & privileges setup, packaging hierarchies & change packaging, bulk data update, export & import configurations.
- Lead design and implementation of product master data hierarchies, taxonomies, relationships to organize & classify objects.
- Interact with the Business stakeholders, product owners, technology architects to prioritize and implement enhancements in STIBO with a clear understanding of SAFE Agile methodology.
- Guide definition and roll out of data governance strategies, policies, roles, responsibilities, processes, controls, and rules. What we look for:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven business acumen in design and implementation of STEP product domain and hands on knowledge of MDM product data ingestion/ publish mechanism.
- Strong experience in the areas of MDM Strategy, architecture, design, integration, Data Quality, Data Governance and familiarity with data stewardship activities.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate across teams, experience in SAFE Agile methodology, work independently with business stakeholders providing solutions.
- Excellent understanding of Product Data model and experience in designing solutions, especially in publishing industry and exposure to publishing industry standards like ONIX, OCLC etc.
- Strong experience in STEP Data Modeling, Web UI Configurations, integration Endpoints - using Graph QL, SOAP, REST & IDOCs, Business rules, STEP Workflow configuration.
