Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal for our Preschool Special Education program in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in early childhood education, a strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and a passion for supporting children with diverse needs. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development, managing staff, collaborating with families, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Minimum RequirementsCertification as a School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) required.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement special education programs in alignment with state regulations and school policies- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students- Supervise special education staff and provide guidance on best practices- Manage budgeting and resource allocation for special education programs- Oversee curriculum development to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities- Lead fundraising efforts to support special education initiatives- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of special education services provided

Skills- Strong background in education administration with a focus on special education- Experience in classroom management and curriculum development for students with special needs- Demonstrated senior leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team- Excellent supervisory skills to manage special education staff effectively- Ability to educate, advocate, and empower students with diverse learning needs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $80,285.00 - $100,000.00 per year
