Job Description

The Knolls Directorate Lead Belt (DLB) role leads the Continuous Improvement program, including the Management Meeting Item program at the Knolls Laboratory. This individual will be part of a team that supports site-level self-assessment, facilitates processes for addressing site-level issues, and promotes corporate initiatives.

Duties of this position include:* Facilitate improvement events, improvement projects, and investigations.* Establish, maintain, and grow a LEAN Six Sigma continuous improvement program.* Mentor and provide continuous training to Green Belt, Black Belt, LEAN Kaizen Leader, and change management facilitators.* Implement, train on, and promote continuous improvement tools and change management across the organization.* Engage with senior leadership to coach-on and fulfill their continuous improvement and change management needs.* Identification of problems and improvement opportunities.* Develop and maintain metrics for the continuous improvement program.

The successful candidate will provide leadership as a recognized expert in technical problem solving, continuous improvement, change management, and risk reduction. This individual will determine or develop methods to improve and document systems or processes, equipment and facilities using a team-based approach. Coordination with the NNL Continuous Improvement Services is required as well as active membership on the NNL Continuous Improvement Lead Team. All personnel are expected to support emergency response and site evaluations.

Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; orCurrently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; orqualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; orCurrently or previously CRE qualified; or6 years as SRE; orSRE qualified and 9 years of experience. Preferred Skills

1. Experience facilitating through complex problems in small and large team dynamics2. LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or LEAN Kaizen Leader certification3. Change Management Practitioner certification4. Familiarity and experience applying LEAN and change management tools5. Experience with SharePoint, Excel, and Microsoft Power BI

Pay Range$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
