Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 + Discretionary Bonus, Carry

Company Summary:

The client is a prominent private credit firm that focuses on lower middle market (LMM) sponsor-backed direct lending. The firm has a strong track record of providing flexible capital solutions to private equity sponsors across various sectors. They are seeking an experienced Principal or Managing Director to join the team in New York City. This role will focus on sponsor coverage, origination, and helping with deal execution and underwriting.

The Principal / Managing Director will be responsible for:

• Source and develop new direct lending deals, focusing on sponsor-backed transactions in the lower middle market.
• Oversee the deal process from initial pitch to final closing.
• Help build, maintain, and expand relationships with private equity sponsors to generate new lending opportunities.

The Principal/ Managing Director should have the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in sponsor coverage and origination in private credit, direct lending, or leveraged finance.
• Strong understanding of LMM sponsor-backed transactions.
• Deep experience in financial analysis, underwriting, and deal structuring.
• Strong understanding of LMM sponsor-backed transactions.
