Job Description :

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Operate gravure, combination, flexo or coater presses proficiently and in accordance with operating procedures and customer requirements.

* Effectively demonstrates technical problem solving skills and trouble shooting skills.

* Prepare press with specified tooling, inks, material, and operating controls.

* Maintain high standard of housekeeping, keeping floors and equipment clean and work area orderly.

* Maintain and monitor in-line verification system.

* Ensure press is operating within specifications and effectively communicate with others.

* Work as a part of team responsible for machine preventive maintenance, 5S, housekeeping and safety.

* Use troubleshooting skills to logically identify machine issue root causes.

* Understand and demonstrate knowledge of accessing quality documents, process guidelines, etc. from QCBD system.

* Responsible for dispositioning of rolls in the SMART system and producing error free transactions.

* Perform in-line quality verification and adhere to ISO quality plan and procedures.

* Meet production schedules and throughput yield requirements and expectations.

* Contribute to overall team effort to meet customer demands.

* Be willing to accept flexible work schedule to meet production/customer requirements.

* Observes and works in compliance with all environmental, safety, chemical handling, handling of hazardous waste, housekeeping, and security policies, guidelines and posted roles and responsibilities.

* Complete introductory training to include hazardous waste regulations, duties, and responsibilities. Participate in annual refresher of hazardous waste training consistent with Annual Hazardous Waste Training Class .

* Escalate schedule, safety, quality, scrap or any other production issues to the manager immediately.

* Direct self in manner that exemplifies positive attitude and focuses on meeting team goals.

* Attend all required training sessions and actively participate on plant teams.

* Meet with on-coming shift to communicate issues, problems, schedule, etc.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Obtain Tech IV skill assessment scores in math, mechanical and reading.

* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of in-line registration systems required.

* Experience with web handling required.

* Experience with die-cutting strongly preferred.

* Experience using color matching equipment (X-rite).

* Proven proficiency in color-matching and acceptable color test results.

* Experience with solvent based ink mixing and handling.

* Demonstrated flexibility in working alternate shift assignments and overtime as required.

* Above average attendance and safety record.

* Demonstrated ability to learn new operations and experience in an ISO environment.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

* Strong attention to detail for quality and safety concerns.

* Basic computer skills.

* Experience training others and working in a team based environment.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Minimum of 3-4 years operating a 6-9 color printing press in a high level quality manufacturing environment (printing on variety of substrates including film) required.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to perform lifting of 25-40 pounds.

* Ability to move 50-125 pounds using proper moving equipment.

* Ability to climb and utilize ladder/platform.

* Ability to perform low-level floor work (re-webbing, clearing jams, etc.).
