Position: Senior Associate, Private Equity

Location: New York, NY & Chicago, IL

Role Overview:

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in the execution of investment opportunities across a variety of sectors. You will work closely with senior team members to source, evaluate, and execute investments, while also supporting portfolio company management in creating long-term value. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong financial background, strategic thinking, and a passion for private equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, industry research, and competitive analysis.
  • Assist in the structuring and negotiation of investment deals, collaborating with internal and external parties.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for the Investment Committee.
  • Work with portfolio company management teams to identify value creation opportunities and monitor performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, advisors, and management teams.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Stay current on market trends, industry developments, and relevant investment opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, with a focus on generalist investments/transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of corporate finance and valuation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to travel as needed for due diligence and portfolio company oversight.
