The Private Equity Staff / Fund Accountant will be responsible for providing private equity fund accounting, private equity management company accounting, and tax preparation services to various private equity clients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain fund general ledgers.
- Maintain management company general ledgers.
- Manage cash balances
- Prepare capital calls and distributions.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with auditors at year end.
- Prepare support for annual regulatory compliance filings with the SEC.
- Initiate wire transfers and assist with general disbursements.
- Assist with valuation models.
- Prepare various private equity partnership and individual tax returns.
- Conduct basic tax research.
- Maintain and monitor procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting
- 0 - 4 years of experience
- Experience in private equity accounting a plus
- Experience with Investran a plus
- Experience with CCH Wolters Kluwer a plus
- Strong written and verbal communicator skills
- Strong project management and organization skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Results driven, self-starter who likes to take on new challenges
