We are seeking a PRN team member to work on an as-needed basis, providing support to our team and clients during times of increased workload, vacation, or illness. Right at Home is seeking dependable, compassionate Home Health Aides in Waterloo to provide companion and personal cares to our clients in Cedar Falls and surrounding areas. Companion care includes light housekeeping, laundry assistance, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation and participating in activities the client enjoys like puzzles or games. Clients may also need assisted walking, transfers, and exercises. Personal care includes help with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. There is no level of experience or training required as we provide a training and mentoring program to help you be successful. What you will do as a PRN Home Health Aide for Waterloo:
- Provide light housekeeping, do laundry, make meals.
- Transport clients to appointments or the store.
- Assist with personal cares like transfers, toileting, showers, hygiene.
- Medication reminders, life management.
- Provide companionship with engaging activities and ensure client safety.
- Report changes in condition or concerns around the well-being of the client.
- Delegated nursing tasks like catheter care, medication administration, etc with training by RN.
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and protocols
Requirements of a PRN Home Health Aide for Waterloo:
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have own vehicle with proof of adequate car insurance and the ability to travel within our service area which is a 60-minute radius of Waterloo/Cedar Falls.
- Be able to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Pass Background Check
- Ability to be reliable and dependable.
- Desire to care for older adults, keeping them safe and independent in their homes
- Read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations as needed for the job.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations.
