Haskell's Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. In this internship, you will participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies & procedures, during the assignment. Additionally, there are fantastic opportunities to network with interns across the enterprise during scheduled workshops, events and group projects focused on our culture and values.

Job Responsibilities:

* Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness from layouts, sketches, or written instructions. Applies discipline design and detailing fundamentals in developing designs and specifications under the supervision of and subject to final approval by the Licensed Professional

* Performs analysis or calculations as assigned

* Creates work plan for assigned tasks. Monitors and projects personal workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedules

* Coordinates and checks work carefully to minimize all deficiencies, errors and omissions

* Performs dimensional, interference, and basic design checks on the layouts and sketches of Licensed Professionals and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing sets

* Assists Licensed Professionals with plotting/production/assembly of drawing packages and writing specifications

* Maintains orderly work files and prepares clear well-written memos/ correspondence. When assigned, prepares presentation materials

* Subject to final approval of Licensed Professional, checks shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documents

* Assists Licensed Professionals in field inspections, development of solutions to field problems, preparation of field orders, addenda and record drawings

* Works toward accomplishing and documenting requirements to attain eligibility to take the professional licensing exam

* Participates in professional community organizations and trade organizations within discipline

Education/Experience:

* Seeking professional degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering from an accredited college or university

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

* Must have good personal habits

* Work well with others

* Be able to stay on task and complete work on schedule

* Be able to work independently as well as on a team

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
