We are seeking a skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize control systems to enhance production efficiency, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry a plus but our client is open to other industries as well
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain process control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Analyze and troubleshoot process data to optimize production performance and reduce variability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to develop and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain control strategies and advanced control applications to enhance process efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical support for control system hardware and software issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all process control activities.
- Train operators and technicians on control system operation and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in process control, automation, or a similar role
- Proficiency in DCS, PLC programming, and HMI systems .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is a plus. As it relates to the Mill processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
