Process Engineer - ENTRY LEVEL - Actalent : Job Details

1+ year of experience plus engineering degree (preferred chemical or mechanical) Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing - Knowledge of SPC, quality standards, statistical experiences, ladder logic, metering pumps drives, sensors and transducers, control theory, and hydraulics are assets

1. Develop formulations and pour patterns to meet production specifications

2. Optimize chemical usage and minimize waste

3. Sampling new programs

4. Liaison with maintenance to solve/optimize process equipment issues.

5. Liaison with production and tooling to address RFT concerns

6. Plan and execute process improvement experiments

7. Responsible for the daily process operations

8. Interface with customers, suppliers, and other plants in respect to process related quality concerns

9. Occasion travel

10. Occasion chemical unloading responsibilities

11. Other duties as required

12. Knowledge of Key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed KPI

targets

13. Understand lean and implement 5 S and kaizens within department

14. Ensure good communication across shifts, departments

15. Participate in problem solving, VSM, Kaizen projects

16. Audit for standard work, quality, understanding HSE
