Essential Functions
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiencies and lower costs
- Perform technical studies, analyze operations and operating costs
- Audit internal/external technical data
- Assist in the decision-making process for directing change
- Establish new methods and procedures as needed to improve current and future process
- Evaluate inventory levels, alternate products, vendors
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust assigned manufacturing process areas to optimize productivity and quality
- Review daily operations with the Superintendent and Supervisors
- Assist in monitoring and training the workforce in proper methods and procedures
- Assist in preparing area reports for accounting and management, conduct monthly and year-end
- Gather and analyze information to provide support in developing annual capital and operating budgets, as well as goals and objectives, under the direction of the Manager Reduction Technology
- Direct the technical and cost activities required for special projects
- Maintain regular operations in the absence of the Operations Superintendent
Education/Training RequirementsBachelor-level degree in Engineering plus 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the metal industry (co-op student experience is acceptable)
