We are recruiting Process Engineers for our heavily industrial manufacturing client who is steadily growing. To be successful here, you'll need a combination of BS Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar degree, a minimum of an internship in a heavy manufacturing industry, motivation to learn and continuously improve, and be safety focused. Some examples of heavy industries are pulp & paper, primary metals, metal fabrication, chemicals, building materials, mining, and tool building.
As the Process Engineer, you'll focus on:
• Monitoring raw materials by testing and using statistical software to identify trends
• Identification of continuous improvement opportunities to improve product quality, decrease operational costs, decrease downtime, and environmental impact
• Leading implementation of trials, special projects, equipment & workflow improvements
• Developing & maintenance of databases to identify trends to analyze for strategic planning of future projects
• Leading & contribute to troubleshooting & problem-solving of process disruptions
• Working with operators to review, update & develop SOPs.
Minimum requirements for this Process / Chemical Engineer position:
• BS degree in Chemical, Materials engineering or similar discipline
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a heavily industrial manufacturing facility – internships count
• Excellent written & verbal communications
• Proficient computer & technical skills; prefer MS Office & Minitab.
