About the Job:

The Process Engineer will contribute to the design, installation, and startup of a new coating technology. This technology will enhance our manufacturing capabilities and enable us to deliver more sustainable products to the market. They will work closely and interact regularly with a multifunctional team from Production, Quality Control, Safety, and Product Development. It is expected this role will offer substantial professional development and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with equipment vendors, production, QC and safety personnel.
  • Review equipment, drawings, and collect comments from Trelleborg personnel to influence the vendor designs to meet Trelleborg requirements.
  • Lead safety reviews and FMEA's at project milestones.
  • Lead the startup planning exercise.
  • Fill the role of Principal Engineer for the equipment startup(s).
  • Support production operations when the line is operational.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • 1 to 5 years of technical experience in the polymer processing industry preferred; however, new graduates with relevant educational experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Analysis, and 5S methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with equipment vendors, production teams, safety personnel, and quality control staff.
