Job Title: Process Engineer

Shift: 1st Shift (Flexibility required for 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed)

Salary: $50,000 to $100,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Location: Laurens County, SC

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join the dynamic team at one of our clients. This role is pivotal in introducing, improving, and managing machining projects while optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset to contribute to operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and optimize CNC milling machines (horizontal/vertical) and CNC lathes.
  • Develop and improve machining processes, including fixture and tool design, in collaboration with headquarters.
  • Set up and maintain production equipment and machining cells to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Analyze and address root causes of quality issues in partnership with quality engineers.
  • Lead the implementation of 5S programs and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules for equipment and oversee daily inspections and adjustments.
  • Improve cycle times, reduce scrap rates, and ensure compliance with product safety and conformity standards.
  • Train and guide technicians on production systems and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and present production data to support operational decision-making.
  • Coordinate installation and setup of production equipment to meet quality and timing goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with robotics and automation systems (ABB, Fanuc, Siemens).
  • Proficiency with CNC systems, including CNC-Brothers, Mori Seiki, and Lathe equipment.
  • Knowledge of tooling, quality control, and editing programs.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Proven ability to drive productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in Product Safety & Conformity Representation (PSCR) processes is a plus.
