Position Overview:
As a Process Engineer II, you will play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently while supporting growth and innovation. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with strategic planning to improve processes and support new product development in a fast-paced environment.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop and manage routers, bills of materials, and inspection instruction sheets to support production.
- Use statistical process control (SPC) methods to lead and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate as part of the material review board to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Design and optimize inspection and gauging methods while evaluating inspection frequencies.
- Support medical device development, including product design reviews and pre-production assessments.
- Manage the manufacturing aspects of new product releases (NPRs) and execute validation protocols.
- Work on corrective and preventive actions to address customer complaints and improve product quality.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. (Mechanical, Industrial, Bio/Med - NOT Chemical)
- 3 plus years of experience in an engineering role
- Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or related software.
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with statistical tools like control charts and capability analysis.
- Knowledge of quality management system standards.
- Experience with risk management tools, such as failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA).
- Background in CNC machining processes or the medical device industry.
- Basic understanding of validation, PPAP, or APQP.
