**Scope Of Position**
The intern will support problem solving and development of fundamental understanding of properties in glass and ceramics. The intern will conduct experiments, design test plans and explore new ways to achieve desired material attributes. In addition to experimentation, the intern will be responsible for interpretation of experimental data; comparing with literature results; and writing and presenting a final report.

**Responsibilities:**
+ You will generate hypotheses, design experiments, and analyze data.
+ You will conduct hands on work in a laboratory or pilot environment.
+ You will communicate project status and updates to both the project team and to management, including memos, technical reports, and verbal presentations.
**Requirements:**
+ Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering (preference for Materials Science & Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Glass Science & Engineering, or Chemical Engineering) (Minimum of 2+ years working towards the degree). Preference is for students who will have completed their 3rd year of a BS level college engineering program prior to starting the internship and will be graduating within 12 months of finishing the internship.
+ Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
+ Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

?The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
