There are further opportunities to advance pay upwards of $50.40/hr with our pay for progression system.Benefits include Healthcare/Medical insurance, 401 K matching and non-contingent matching plans, effective day one. As our business grows, our people will grow.THE OPPORTUNITYAs a Process Operator in our Lafayette South Plant (formerly known as Tate & Lyle), you will be responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated, state-of-the-art system that produces distinctive, high-quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.Key responsibilities: Process OperatorPassionate safety commitment including the belief that all injuries can be prevented.Self-disciplined and possessing the integrity to uphold Company Values at all times.Self-motivated, committed, dependable team contributor.Willingness to work in and support a participative team environment.Capability to diagnose, operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems (mechanical and chemical).Ability to learn new concepts and information using process procedures, manuals, and diagrams.Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information, both written and verbal.Ability to teach both technology concepts and operating procedures to other technicians.Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.Knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, reactors, centrifuges, filtration and/or evaporation systems a plus.Ability to work a 12-hour days to nights rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules and overtime.ABOUT YOUAssociates degree or higher preferred with a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONRewards & benefitsCompetitive salary / 401 K matching and non-contingent matching plans / Healthcare / Medical insurance.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & BelongingWe are passionate believers in the power of difference.
