Sedron Technologies is hiring talented Process Operators for the weekend shiftSedron Technologies designs and manufactures advanced water, and waste upcycling technologies that transform the paradigm of Waste Processing to Resource Recovery. Our team is focused on solving environmental problems around the world, with tremendous human and environmental impact.Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, this role is responsible for the following essential functions:* Ability to work 4 x 12's shift Thurs - Sun, 6am - 6pm ($2/hr shift differential)* Monitor and evaluate the status of equipment and control systems for abnormalities, inefficiencies, unsafe conditions, etc.* Conduct routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance* Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for analysis* Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly* Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed, or flow of liquids or gases and times of prescribed reactions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes.* Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address any issues related to quality* Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods and procedures* Keep detailed work records and contribute to reports for regulatory and contractual compliance* Assist in commissioning, calibration and validation of tools and equipment* Make minor repairs, lubricate, and maintain equipment, using hand tools* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on site* Oversee cold startup of plant equipment and processes through steady-state operation, as well as return plant equipment and processes to operating status following shutdowns, power outages, etc.* Report potential or actual problems and make recommendations as to appropriate action* Enter, maintain, and extract information from various computer software programs such as the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)* Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and scissors lifts* Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives* Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike* Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices* Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines* Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors* Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks* Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance* Maintain good organization skills, ensure a neat and clean workspace, facilities and grounds* Perform other related duties as assignedThis position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.BENEFITS* Medical, dental, vision insurance and 401k with employer matching* Paid time off and paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays)* Disability Insurance as well as Life/AD&D Insurance* FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account)* Tuition reimbursement* Casual work attireEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE* Strong aptitude for chemistry, biology, environmental science or related field required* Previous college level courses in chemistry, microbiology, or environmental sciences with laboratory experience are preferred but not required* Two or more years of experience in process operations, preferably in the fertilizer, chemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment or similar industrial setting* Familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory requirements* Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems* Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED* Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languagePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks* Ability to pass a respirator fit test* Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures* Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of timeADDITIONAL INFORMATION* Wage for this role is hourly plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.* The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
