PROCESSING LEAD - Versova : Job Details

Job DescriptionEssential Job Functions:

Ensure that the quality of the product being packed meets or exceed the customer requirements

Perform a variety of tasks and positions in support plant operations but not limited to;

Packers are handling the cartons properly and in an efficient manner

Follow the run sheets and confirm daily planning with plant supervision

Print labels and verify label information with management

Cases being used are in compliance with the customer requirements

Confirm the dates on the cartons are correct based on the customer requirements

Provide the appropriate packing material for the product being produced

• Make sure cases palletized have proper labels, sealed, and stacked with outstanding quality.

Comply with all USDA regulations, Centrum Valley Farms Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies, and Procedures, HACCAP and Food Defense Programs.

Crosstrain and have the ability to be flexible to perform the following positions within the processing plant.

Machine Operator

Packers

• Rail

Shippers

Follow Centrum Valley Farms SQF program as it relates to handling of packaging material and documentation to produce a high quality product for our customers.

Resolve as many immediately-correctable issues as possible in the course of his/her normal daily activities

Effectively communicate with the plant supervisor, QC, USDA and plant staff when product changes are being made.

Assist in creating a One-Team environment by communicating effectively with all plant supervision and staff..

Value your safety and the safety of your co-workers.

Follow all safety rules and regulations

Report all unsafe conditions to the plant supervisor immediately

Keep your work area clean

Clean eggs up off of floor as soon as possible

Place trash in the appropriate receptacle

Be mindful of all moving equipment in your area.

Understand how to safely operate various equipment within the processing plant such as overwrap, tape, pallet wrap machines, forklifts and pallet jacks.

Immediately report any mechanical problems or poor quality conditions to the Plant Supervisor or Maintenance staff where help is needed for repairs

Perform all other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior egg grading machine operator experience an plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge and ability to use a computer
• Reading and comprehensive skills necessary to follow instructions, and document carton usage
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to twist and bend
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time on different surfaces, including concrete
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to reach and lift above the head
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
