Position Summary: Processing Mixer are responsible for meeting set production throughput goals. Insuring all product quality checks and recipes are followed and documentation is correct. Follow all safety procedures and GMP guidelines. Assist in general housekeeping duties.

Essential Functions and Related Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with the departing shift to determine product being run, how the equipment is performing, and any necessary information.
  • Visually inspect area for any safety issues or conditions and report to supervisor immediately.
  • Communicate with Processing Lead person for Mixing schedule and batch sheet information.
  • Follow batch processing record and record lot numbers.
  • Read all notes and special instructions accompanying batch recipe sheet.
  • Mix ingredients following batch recipe and stated mix times.
  • Any non-conforming product found to be contaminated must be recorded and discarded immediately. Quality Control must be notified.
  • Practice all safety and GMP policies.
  • Insure all paperwork is accurately filled and completed.
  • Clean equipment, and surrounding area in between products and before shift change.

  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must be 18 years of Age
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or

equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups

of customers or employees of organization.

  • Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Computer Skills: No computer skills necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
