Job Summary
This position involves operating the processor via a computerized XY Com batching system and HTST unit and involves working in various positions in the plant based on need such as operating multiple fillers.
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Blending per BOM's (Bill of Materials)
- Responsibilities for all positions except for maintenance personnel
- Take samples for Quality Control laboratory
- CIP and hand clean all related equipment
- Accurately complete all associated records
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Comply with all SQF and Company Guidelines to procedure and safe and quality product
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment
- Work environment is hot/cold/wet
- Work environment is indoors
- Work environment has consistent loud noise
- Work environment contains stairs and elevated surfaces
Skills Required
- Ability to communicate openly, clearly, and effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to read, write, and understand English documentation
- Ability to support team environment
- Ability to work independently
Physical Skills Required:
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually entire shift
- Ability to climb and maintain balance
- Ability to use hands extensively
- Ability to operate forklift with certification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
- Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment
- May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
