Overview:

Working closely with the logistics team, the Procurement Analyst will manage supplier credit terms, allocations, and supply relationships, ensuring these factors are clearly communicated across the organization. The role requires leveraging industry expertise, innovative purchasing strategies, and strong supplier relationships to secure competitively priced fuel to support current business demands and future growth goals. Additionally, the Procurement Analyst is responsible for maintaining and analyzing purchasing data, implementing advanced analytics, and optimizing related systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and relay cost saving opportunities, through contract negotiation, spot purchases, and rack deals, to sales and logistics teams.
  • Manage rack-level supply access for drivers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Verify accurate billing of fuel costs and taxes on all Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Establish and maintain effective communication between procurement, sales, and logistics teams.
  • Proactively address and communicate daily allocation issues with relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee daily purchasing activities to fulfill supply commitments in all markets and provide weekly updates on progress.
  • Manage supplier credit limits, allocations, and access agreements.
  • Conduct biannual meetings with key suppliers to maintain and strengthen relationships.
  • Maintain and update all records related to supply terminal access for the team and its carriers; handle new setup processes as needed.
  • Deliver monthly reports on purchasing performance and progress toward goals.
  • Develop and execute detailed plans for achieving budgeted gallon targets by market, and communicate these plans across teams.
  • Provide sales teams with fuel cost and availability forecasts to support competitive customer bids.
  • Serve as a backup for supply coordinators as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in petroleum operations and purchasing, with proven expertise in negotiating short- and long-term contracts (FOB rack or upstream).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
