Hyundai Rotem is a global heavy industry company that specializes in manufacturing rolling stock, military equipment and plant engineering. It is able to produce all types of rolling stock, including electric multiple units (EMUs), high-speed trains, engine locomotives, wireless trams and magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. In addition, it is ushering in the new era of eco-friendly hydrogen fuel by developing trains powered by hydrogen fuel cells along with hydrogen infrastructure and hydrogen markets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise outside processing (Consignment, visit suppliers whenever it's needed) and arrange the logistics with forwarding/trucking company
- Interface with Engineering and Quality to assure supplier adherence to all technical requirements.
- Work with project management to ensure efficient and consistent procurement practices through all stages of the project
- Monitor supplier performance and recommend modifications when necessary. SCM activities.
- Follow up issues with all relevant departments and manage team members for the best decision making and for working well with suppliers.
- Enter purchasing documents to global purchasing system.
- Process and confirm payments for suppliers using ERP.
- Track payment progress.
- Monitor shipments pickup and delivery from suppliers
- Create and release PO.
- Communicate with freight forwarder to set shipping arrangements
- Communicate with members for decision making, maintaining optimum inventory level, resolving pending issues
- Involve from initial stage for developing parts to help Engineering, Quality and Project Management team
- Expediting all drawings, confirmation, delivery and information from suppliers for Engineering, Quality, and Project Management's requests.
- Contract management
- Negotiate with vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Contract Management experience
- Ability to work with international customers, colleagues and contractors
- Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills, and strong written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Must be currently authorized to work in any company in the US for other than practical training
- Heavy Industry experience preferred. Rail industry background preferred
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Accounting, or relevant experience
