The Procurement Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process for IT projects within the organization. This includes identifying and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The IT Project Procurement Lead works closely with project managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to align procurement efforts with project requirements and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create a comprehensive procurement plan for IT projects, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

2. Identify, evaluate, and select suitable vendors for IT projects, ensuring that they meet the organization's requirements in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery.

3. Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements, to achieve the best possible outcome for the organization.

4. Manage the procurement process for IT projects, including preparing and issuing request for proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.

5.Regularly assess vendor performance against contractual obligations, addressing any issues and ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.

6. Ensure that all procurement-related documents, such as contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, are properly recorded and stored for easy retrieval and auditing.

7. Work closely with IT project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project requirements and timelines.

8. Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT project procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, contractual disputes, and cost overruns.

9. Continuously review and improve procurement processes and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. 10. Monitor market trends and developments in IT procurement, identifying opportunities.
