We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing procurement master data, optimizing procurement processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role involves maintaining accurate procurement data across various systems, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to enhance operational efficiency. The Procurement Specialist will also contribute to cost savings and process improvements by analyzing procurement trends and vendor performance. Key Responsibilities Procurement Master Data Management
- Maintain and manage procurement master data, including supplier information, product details, pricing, and contractual agreements, across ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SRM, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, finance, supply chain, operations) to ensure data accuracy and consistency within procurement databases.
- Conduct regular audits of master data to identify discrepancies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of new supplier and product information, including updates and changes to existing data.
- Develop and implement data governance processes to maintain high standards of data quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to minimize errors in procurement processes.
Procurement Analysis and Reporting - Analyze procurement data and trends to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Generate reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and spending patterns for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and monitoring procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and risk management.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to automate procurement data management processes and implement best practices for data handling.
- Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to implement system enhancements that streamline procurement workflows and improve data accessibility.
- Assist in the implementation of procurement software tools and provide training to other team members on data management best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects focused on improving procurement operations and reducing procurement cycle times.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or data management. Experience managing procurement master data is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Experience with data management and governance best practices.
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets with accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, APICS CSCP).
- Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry.
- Knowledge of procurement processes such as sourcing, supplier management.
- Familiarity with automation tools and robotic process automation (RPA) for data management tasks.
