Procurement Specialist - BlackRock Resources LLC : Job Details

BlackRock Resources is seeking Procurement Specialist candidates for a direct-hire role with our client in Conroe, TX. This role will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for machined parts and components. Preferred candidates will have experience working within a machine shop.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar degree.
• 5 years experience working in procurement, specifically within a machine shop.
• Highly experienced in cost estimating for machine parts and components.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Review technical drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements
• Analyze machining processes, material types, quantities, and labor requirements to create accurate cost estimates
• Consult with engineers, designers, and production manager to clarify project details and requirements
• Identify and estimate potential risks, variations, and contingencies that may impact project costs
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates using industry standard software and tools
• Collaborates with purchasing, shipping, and receiving, and production departments to obtain quotes for materials, equipment, and services
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of estimates, including revisions and updates as needed

Additional responsibilities:

• Sourcing outside services
• Contract reviews
• Quoting: this includes any received RFQ's either my email or customer portals
• Finalizing quotes: review & approve RFQ's
• Customer relations, keep open communication lines with current and prospective customers, providing lead times and answers to any questions
• Job planning: Create a timeline for each job, considering estimated completion times for each operation
