[email protected] Position Details Job Summary Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Procurement Supply Support Specialist 2 to join our dedicated Purchasing team. Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, this position provides an essential role in supporting the university's procurement processes and ensuring that the right supplies, services, materials and equipment are ordered and paid for in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities include:
- Document Processing: Prepare and process all necessary documents for purchasing and payment of supplies, materials, services, and equipment ordered on behalf of the university.
- Vendor Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with vendors, addressing issues related to shipments, invoices, and any other procurement concerns.
- Assistance with Reimbursements & Invoices: Help university departments submit reimbursement requests and process invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Mail & Communications Management: Handle incoming communications, including mail, email, and phone messages, and provide timely responses or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Purchasing Review & Account Codes: Review purchases and ensure proper account codes are assigned, contributing to the accuracy of financial documentation.
- Document Filing & File Management: Organize and manage both physical and electronic purchasing documents, ensuring easy access and compliance.
- Fiscal Year-End Support: Assist with year-end processes, ensuring that all purchasing activities are accurately documented and recorded.
- Inventory Control Support: Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, ensuring that the university's materials and supplies are properly tracked.
- Supplier Database Development: Help build and maintain a diverse vendor database to promote inclusion and improve procurement opportunities.
- Ticket Request Management: Support the management of the online ticket request system and help track departmental work to ensure efficient operations.
- Policy & Account Support: Provide guidance and answers to questions about purchasing accounts and university purchasing policies.
- The salary for this position is $37,896 - $48,960. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.
