Essential Job Functions/Duties:
Supervises the work of all hourly employees in assigned departments.Train, assign duties, conduct performance reviews, terminate, communicate policies and other work-related matters, and motivate employeesReports machinery malfunctions to the maintenance department.Supervises housekeeping of the department.Responsible for the safety, ergonomics, and job training of all employees directly under his/her supervision. Must ensure that proper protective equipment (PPE) is provided as well as the safe operation of any equipment.Responsible for department efficiency, cost, and quality of departmental goals.Be able to review financials and performance. Develop and implement action plans to address departmental efficiencies during monthly meetings.Secondary Functions/Duties:Performs other supervisory duties as needed or assigned.Qualifications/Experience/License:One to three years of poultry plant process experience is desired.Demonstrated successful supervisory skills preferably in poultry processingExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent team building and leadership skillsKnowledge of UKG Pro/Dimensions HRIS systemEducational Requirements:College Graduate with a degree in Poultry Science or another Agriculture discipline PreferredHigh School GraduatePhysical/Mental Requirements:May be required to lift up to 50 lbs., bend and climb.Must have the ability to think analytically and get along with others in a team situation.May be required to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and wet environmentMust be able to stand up to 8 hours per day.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
