Producer (Remote)This is a Salt Lake City-based (or close surrounding area) role that will require local video production in SLC and surrounding areas. In some cases, you will be required to travel to other cities/states for video productions.As an experienced, detail-oriented individual in our Production Studio, the Producer is responsible for handling all aspects of the pre-production and production phases of video projects, including organizing and managing all crew and talent, assigning key responsibilities, communicating production logistics with clients, meeting deadlines, reporting on project progress, monitoring budgets, and ensuring a high level of quality across our work.As a confident communicator, the Producer is responsible for building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients, crew, and internal team members to drive successful productions forward. In addition, the Producer is able to juggle multiple projects and prioritize the most pressing tasks to keep all Production Studio activities running efficiently.Finally, while the Producer brings expert organizational skills to this role, this individual also champions innovative and competitive practices, which pushes creative boundaries for our clients.Responsibilities Here are some, but not necessarily all, of the Producer's responsibilities:
- Lead project kick-off meetings at the beginning of a project.
- Manage team resources and scheduling.
- Participate in progress updates and meetings with clients and team members.
- Lead communication with our internal Industries team members (i.e., client account leads) during pre-production and production.
- Dream up, develop, and execute film initiatives that advance the promotional and communication goals of our clients and our agency.
- Book and manage production crew and voice-over talent.
- Build upon our current client relationships and participate in new business development through networking and community involvement.
- Stay up to date on film and marketing industry trends, insights, and emerging technologies - and share and implement those lessons for client and agency projects.
- Ensure that all projects (down to the smallest details) are executed with quality and efficiency while solving a client's challenges or producing desirable business outcomes.
- Provide support and assistance with strategy and implementation, as needed.
- Head off potential issues that might impact our business, and help us navigate them so projects are completed on time and on budget, with a high bar for creative execution.
- Work with Production Studio team members to keep our local studio space clean and organized so that our entire team can operate efficiently.
- Lead and/or support the financial planning and health of projects; provide quotes for new business opportunities as assigned.
- Work with other Producers to transfer information from production to post-production. In addition, understand the post-production process and - in collaboration with our Post Producer - facilitate internal reviews, conduct live reviews with external partners, and collaborate with editors to ensure project success.
What you'll need
- A proven work history, preferably in a role involved with video marketing, film production, or other related visual media
- Business development or sales-related experience
- Passion for calculating figures and keeping up to date on the latest in business technology
- Demonstrated data-driven thinking
- Budget and time management skills
- Availability to travel occasionally and/or work from film shoot locations as project needs dictate
