Reliability, maintainability, and safety are at the forefront of our engineering strategy and support to our dedication to quality.Summary: Support and sell B2B weigh price labeling, crossweb labeling, and material handling equipment primarily in the meat/food industry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as technical expert for weigh price labeling systems to support customers directly.
- Lead customer sales training for weigh price labeler customers prior to shipment of products and support commissioning of new installations.
- Create a training program with documentation and videos for use by customers and service technicians.
- Sell to customers primarily over the telephone from incoming calls generated from UltraSource catalog as well as trade shows, the internet, referrals, and trade publications.
- Make regularly scheduled proactive calls to targeted customers. Track and evaluate calls throughout the sales process.
- Use current software package (CRM) to plan the workload, create, and track customer opportunities.
- Achieve budgeted sales, margins, and net profit goals of the business unit.
- Coordinate new products in the supply chain and coordinate with marketing to rollout those products.
- Train, coach and develop other sales staff to generate cross-selling opportunities in packaging equipment, processing equipment and consumables.
- Plan, order, maintain, and evaluate product equipment and parts inventory while considering capital expense.
- Support Sales and Service efforts.
Other Responsibilities
- 25% travel required which may fluctuate each year according to trade shows, training visits, customer visits and installations. Some international travel required.
- Acquire the understanding of packaging or processing equipment and the complete understanding of their operation and how they impact the business of our customers.
- Identify potential new markets for our product offerings.
- Review trade publications to stay informed regarding the marketplace, technological developments, and competitor offerings to garner customer leads.
- Seek new suppliers to maintain competitive and cost advantage.
- Observe all safety and security procedures for your area. Use equipment and materials properly and report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred) or five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess, or obtain a valid passport and driver's license.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting software and computer-based machine hardware.
- Strong understanding of database driven software programs.
- Experience in MS SQL and Access database programs.
- CRM Experience, Dynamics 365 preferred.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - intermediate experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve problems, works well in group problem solving situations.
- Excellent follow-up skills required due to a multi-step process and often long sales and support cycle.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills. Effectively manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs.
- Effective written verbal communication skills required.
Physical Demands: Must be able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk, listen and frequently use hands to finger, handle, type, and feel. Required to occasionally stand and travel both domestically and abroad to visit work and customer sites. Be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
