Our team is passionate about innovation and excellence, and we are looking for a talented Product Development Project Manager to join us to lead planning, organizing, and directing cross-team projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. This position will report to the SVP of Marketing and Communications and will work cross-functionally with our analysts, food scientists, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, sales and marketing teams to bring new products to life and enhance current offerings for a fun and fast-growing company. Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-company project management for product development of PS and Pro Smoker branded retail products, along with private label products, to support sales initiatives.
- Tracking department budget to ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
- Managing receipts and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
- Coordinating with R&D, marketing, creative, sales and production teams to align project goals and timelines from ideation through production, holding teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
- Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Facilitating regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout the product development process and product lifecycle.
- Preparing and presenting project reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement and product excellence.
- Develop strong relationships and working knowledge of teams across the company to holistically connect and drive work.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven 5-10 years experience in project management, preferably in product development.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple large-scale projects successfully and simultaneously on a consistent basis.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, along with suite of Microsoft tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in seasoning or related products.
- PMP and Six Sigma or similar project management certification.
- Familiarity with retail product development processes.
