Product Engineer - Great Dane Trailers : Job Details

Translates Sales or customer specification into mechanical drawings for mass production. Generates 3 D models and drawings for final fabrication and production assemblies. Reviews and checks production drawings. Makes revision to BOM and drawings per specification or manager's direction. Performs product structure and design fit up analysis. Generates bills of material for MRP system. Provides technical assistance related to product design to other departments and material procurements. Answers technical inquiries from Manufacturing, Sales Department, and Accounting. Reviews Bills of Material and material specifications, completeness and correctness. Reviews material specifications to satisfy customer's specification. Questions and suggests product specifications to Sales Department. Proposes and suggests important engineering issues to Engineering Manager. Solely determines engineering changes which do not require higher authority approval.
