NOTE: This is a hybrid position, requiring up to 8-days a month at an approved Wolters Kluwer office site (i.e., Dallas or Houston).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Management for Data & Analytics to lead our efforts in monetizing our data assets within the legal spend management sector. This role will focus on developing innovative insights, leveraging/identifying adjacent data sets to expand value and create new insights, create graphical dashboard solutions, and drive double-digit revenue growth through data-driven product offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, product strategy, data monetization, data analytics, and legal spend management, combined with a passion for leveraging data to create strategic business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage strategic market research and business analysis.
  • Design and oversee the execution of advanced marketing strategies.
  • Drive high-impact product development and promotional campaigns.
  • Implement and evaluate key performance indicators for products.
  • Orchestrate and lead high-stakes product events and launches.
  • Facilitate top-level strategic product planning.
  • Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date product documentation.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Align product roadmaps with the company's strategic vision.
  • Provide strategic insights and guidance to executive teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy Development: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for data and analytics that aligns with company goals and market needs, focusing on monetizing data through new insights and reporting solutions.
  • Data Product Vision: Create and execute a clear and compelling data product vision that drives the integration of various data sources into legal billing data, enhancing the overall value and utility of our offerings.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in legal spend management and data analytics, ensuring our products meet industry demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to develop and launch data-driven products that enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth.
  • Graphical Reporting Solutions: Oversee the design and development of intuitive, graphical reporting tools that provide actionable insights to clients, enabling them to optimize their legal spend.
  • Data Monetization: Identify opportunities for monetizing data, including subscription models, premium reporting services, and analytics tools that deliver value to clients and drive recurring revenue.
  • Driving Data Multiples: Leverage additional data sources to enrich legal billing data, significantly increasing the overall value of our data offerings and creating new revenue streams.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data products and continuously optimize based on user feedback and market demands.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their needs and pain points, ensuring that product offerings effectively address their challenges and drive adoption.
  • Thought Leadership: Position the company as a thought leader in legal spend management and data analytics through white papers, webinars, and industry conferences.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing product management team focused on data and analytics, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data analytics, SaaS products, or legal technology.
  • Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of data analytics, visualization tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative product strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, and legal spend management software.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel: Up to 25% domestic and international
