ROLE/JOB SUMMARY:

  • Manage product life cycle
  • Gather information for new product requirements from the market, subsidiaries and customers
  • Own and update Product Roadmap, keeping the required departments informed of new product introduction, ramp up, phase out and end of life.
  • Give support to sales and customers, focusing on new products and functionality
  • Maintain product documentation & presentations

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Manage entire product lifecycle from requirements definition to end of life.
  • Primary responsibility for leading the technical product discussions for Solar and/or renewable energy applications and energy storage solutions. Actively engage customers to define new products and quantify opportunity size.
  • Provide support to Sales organization for product selection, presentations and pricing.
  • Create and maintain RFQ requirements document based on customer requirements and/or market needs to BU Engineering for development.
  • Transfer requirements document to remote design team in Asia and manage the progress of entire product development schedule.
  • Articulate requirements to design team in Asia through periodic conference calls.
  • Once new product is entering MP stage, PM to define spare parts and FRU pricing.
  • Establish product roadmaps based on Sales and customer feedback as well as market trends.
  • Create and maintain data sheets and product manuals for all products.
  • If necessary, organize and coordinate tradeshows to display and market products to customers.
  • Keep transfer cost file updated for Delta and 3rd party suppliers' products.
  • Publish Customer price file to Sales team annually for standard products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Masters degree or MBA

Job Experience:

Required:

· 10+ years of experience related to Product Development and/or Product Management

· 5+ years of experience in Solar or renewable energy industry.

· Proficient with MS Excel & PowerPoint

· Ability to travel to customer locations within the United States as well as Delta offices in Taiwan and China
