Product Strategy Contractor RoleMust Have Skills (Most Important):
- 10 plus years of of experience
- Prior business modeling, product strategy, and product management experience
- Knowledge and experience with Web3 and immersive technologies
- Experience managing a portfolio of commercialized products
- Ability to coordinate and deliver through matrixed people management
- Scoping and negotiation experience of agreements
- Ability to communicate and deliver technical requirements in concert with engineers
- Ability to develop, deliver and defend strategies and approach to senior leadership in a large company
- Basic understanding of how client 5G and Edge technology apply to venues
Great To Have Skills (Not Required):
- Background in sports and entertainment
- Experience in building B2B products
- Ability to manage a portfolio of vendors
Job Duties:
- This candidate will be responsible for developing new strategies, creating business models, doing industry and product analysis, creating roadmaps, and leading the end-to-end execution of product strategies, product roadmap, and POC/Pilot development.
Key responsibilities are:
- Develop business cases, product strategies, product requirements, and product roadmaps based on market research, trends, and client business strategies.
- This includes identifying competitive positioning/differentiation and conducting analysis to develop insights for the evolution of the product portfolio, including supporting the business and pricing strategy.
- Manage pilot and POC development in collaboration with internal and external teams to gain learnings to inform and evolve product strategies
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports
- Be the thought leader on a variety of key topics and ramp-up quickly on new ones
- Research and understand marketplace trends within social media and metaverse and assessing new product opportunities (products, services, partnerships, markets) and other growth initiatives as they arise
- Coordinate workstreams and collaborate with technology development, network, marketing, legal, and product groups to deliver outstanding results through execution excellence.
- The ideal candidate needs to have a strong strategy background with technology acumen.
- As well as a very good sense of new technologies and innovations coming out of the technology innovation ecosystem.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities, including quick pivots from leadership.
- The position requires high engagement, curiosity, and the ability to build collaboration across internal and external partners and bring value out of ambiguity.
Education/Certifications:
- College degree, MBA or MBA-equivalent required
- Engineering degree is a plus
Logistics:
- Standard 8 hour office day
- Role is hybrid or home-based with preference to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and New York/New Jersey
- Must be able to visit partners as needed (and may include travel) as well as conferences
