About Us

The Office of Eric Schmidt aims to support Eric Schmidt and his diverse portfolio of initiatives focused on science and technology.

The Technical Projects Group (TPG), part of the Office of Eric Schmidt, is a dynamic and innovative technology incubator and product studio dedicated to developing impactful solutions for the greater good. We are seeking to hire an entrepreneurial Product Manager for the Technical Project Group who will work alongside our team to drive development of important tools and products for social impact.

In this position, you will:

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap and requirements for one or more products from ideation to launch
  • Advocate for the end user by understanding user needs, gathering user feedback, and integrating user-centered design principles into the product development process
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products
  • Drive the agile development process through effective backlog prioritization and sprint planning
  • Work closely with engineering and design to define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product development lifecycle
  • Analyze product data and metrics to measure success and inform ongoing product decisions
  • Evangelize products with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption and impact
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of the product's domain and technology landscape

What we will look for:

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Proven ability to deliver complex, innovative 0 to 1 products
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, roadmapping, backlog prioritization, and metrics
  • Strong technical depth with ability to discuss architecture and make product trade-offs
  • Excellent communication skills to drive alignment across the team and stakeholders
  • User-focused mindset with experience conducting user research and usability testing
  • Results-oriented with ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and humility - ready to work with a diverse team to solve interesting problems together
  • Comfort owning strategy for brand new products in undefined spaces
  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to creating products that make a difference

What we'd be excited to see:

  • Background in politics and/or progressive political tech
  • Experience building new products from the ground up

We are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed

compensation. The target salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000.

Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate s particular

combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience.
