AirClean Systems designs and manufactures ductless fume hoods, laminar flow hoods, traditional exhaust fume hoods, and related enclosures for laboratories and governmental institutions worldwide. Our products and services are designed to improve the health and safety of the end-user or to aid in cutting-edge research and development processes.Established in 1992, AirClean Systems is the largest North American manufacturer of ductless laboratory safety equipment and forensic containment solutions. AirClean Systems makes a difference in the lives of those that use our products.JOB TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn this position you must understand the market space within which AirClean Systems promotes its products and services to assist the sales, marketing, engineering and executive management teams in positioning products and services to customers worldwide. In this position, you will learn how the products work and what services are offered to various customer types globally while aiding in the development of content that will enrich the marketing efforts to capture potential customer while focusing on account retention. As product manager, you will know how to sell the product, how to market the product effectively and in what markets AirClean Systems products will have the greatest success as it relates to the overall economy and competition within a given region, country or market segment. As product manager you will train fellow staff and distributors in AirClean Systems products while conducting webinars and market research to keep our company competitive and in the minds of both end users and distribution partners globally. In a technical capacity you will assist with writing technical materials (e.g. manuals, white papers, application notes and other marketing material). Travel will be required to tradeshows, exhibitions and other professional events that will benefit the growth of the AirClean Systems brand. This position requires a self-starting individual with an entrepreneurial drive and desire to improve the lives of current and potential AirClean Systems customers. This position will require someone who has a background in working across different teams for the mutual success of the company and its customers. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Continuous growth in product and service knowledge while working with all departments for shared success.
- Product training for staff and distribution partners on product function, positioning, sales, and proper selection for customer use.
- Work with sales, customer service and technical service to determine the right product or service to meet client needs.
- Maintain and keep up to date a competitor's database to aid in training staff and to understand market positioning of AirClean Systems products.
- Trade shows, professional organization meetings, and customer site visits to stay current on market trends and potential challenges that could be ahead for AirClean Systems and the products and services we offer.
- Generate and keep current product specifications & requirements as needed.
- Conduct market and competitor research to help develop new product ideas for engineering and exclusive management.
- Train staff and distribution partners on new products or services. Working with distribution partners to understand the marketplace and how AirClean Systems and its products can best be positioned in the region or country.
- Review and update manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment as needed.
- Assist in the writing of technical and marketing materials such as: equipment manuals, white papers, newsletters and website content.
- Develop a clear competitive analysis of all AirClean Systems competition to be utilized by the executive team for setting pricing and ensuring the right products are getting offered to customers by AirClean Systems.
- Obtain product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
- Forecasting and analyzing current product offering to ensure it meets customer expectations.
- Work collectively with teams to launch or introduce new products or services in a timely manner.

- Bachelor's Degree in a science field, life science or chemistry, or marketing from accredited college or university or equivalent
- Five or more years of product management experience for a company in the laboratory or scientific equipment industry
- Possess fluent written and oral communication skills in English
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Microsoft Office experience is required
- CRM experience
- Willingness to travel in North America

LOCATIONThis position will be based at our Creedmoor, NC offices. Terms of employmentThis is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. HOURSThe core hours shall be Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. As a salaried employee you are expected to work at least forty (40) hours per week. Our flex schedule policy applies to you. You can flex around the core hours listed above to complete the remaining required hours in the office. You have the discretion for lunch and other breaks. We expect our managers to complete their work and manage their time as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and various electrical components. Work is regularly performed in office and warehouse environments.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
