Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join the DDN EXA Team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering, customers, and stakeholders to drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge high-performance storage solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise in storage architectures, communication skills, and product management experience to craft and execute a strategic product vision that meets the demands of AI, ML, and data-intensive workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Communicate Product Vision: Work with internal and external partners to define a clear, compelling product strategy and roadmap that aligns with customer needs and market trends.

Lead Product Execution: Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, sales, and marketing teams to execute new product introductions and manage product lifecycles effectively.

Customer Engagement: Represent the product to customers, delivering technical presentations and gathering feedback to inform product improvements.

Documentation and Architecture: Produce clear, high-quality documentation, diagrams, and technical collateral to articulate storage solutions and system architectures.

Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with teams focused on monitoring, analytics, and support solutions to enhance customer success and operational efficiency.

Drive Innovation: Stay informed on emerging technologies in AI, ML, and cloud computing to guide product evolution and ensure competitiveness in strategic customer verticals.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

* Proven proficiency in storage technologies, particularly high-performance storage solutions.

* Experience in storage architecture, system design, and implementation, gained through roles such as solutions engineer, sales engineer, or systems architect/engineer.

* Familiarity with AI/ML workloads, frameworks, and large-scale cloud platforms.

Communication and Presentation

* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Experience presenting to public audiences, customers, and internal stakeholders confidently and persuasively.

* Skilled in creating detailed technical documentation and architectural diagrams.

Additional Skills and Experience

* Background in strategic customer verticals such as AI development or data science is highly desirable.

* Experience with product support, monitoring, and analytics solutions, whether customer-facing or for internal business intelligence.

* Ability to manage complex customer demands, balancing technical, business, and operational priorities.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 12+ years in storage product management or related fields, with a strong track record of building and managing enterprise-scale storage solutions.

Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of AI/ML training and inference, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and machine learning frameworks.

Drive and Passion: Self-starter with a hands-on approach and a passion for building groundbreaking storage technologies.

Interview Process: After submitting your application, one of our recruiters will review your resume. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

* Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.

* Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service (depending on role).

* Real-time problem-solving: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.

* Meet and greet with the wider team.

* Our goal is to finish the main process in 2-3 weeks at most.
