    Position Title: Product Manager

    Classification: Exempt

    Position Status: Full Time

    Reports To: Senior Product Manager

    Direct Reports: None

    Role Objectives:

    This role is fully accountable for delivery of complex products from cross-functional teams. Contribute to and drive the delivery of the road map set by company directors.

    Working with the Design, Packaging, Engineering, Marketing, Licensing, and new toy planning teams to help plan, prioritize, track, and report on schedule of physical products that are under different development stages, escalating issues where necessary. Ensure the effective project management of new product development from initial concept and prototyping, through to production start and post-sale support.

    This role will be the main contact with the internal teams, outsourced design studios worldwide and the engineering team in Asia. Work closely with the senior management team to communicate challenges and potential project risks, providing solutions where required.

    Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of project management experience in consumer product development environment required.
  • BS/BE/BA in technical or business major preferred. PM certification a plus.
  • Prior experience in design will be highly regarded.
  • Specific knowledge of toy manufacturing, toy terminology and toy manufacturing process.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, planning, and tracking project schedules; monitoring progress against global new product launches, ensuring development schedules are aligned.
  • Responsible for driving the development team to start development of new products per development calendar; facilitating development meetings, communicating action plans developed by the team; and reporting status internally to Product Design, Marketing, and Senior Management. Escalating issues or risks and providing potential solutions.
  • Recommend creative ideas or methods to reduce development lead time and troubleshoot off-track projects.
  • Responsible for driving project teams, communicating changes to all relevant stakeholders throughout the development process, including management, product development, creative, sales and marketing and Hong Kong and China teams.
  • Responsible for confirming products' costs are within the appropriate target at each milestone. Accountable for highlighting costing issues and supporting defined cost reduction efforts to meet brand profit goals.
  • Responsible for the preparation of all necessary materials for assigned brands at trade shows and key presentations, including product selections and module design direction.
  • Support Product Design team to ensure effective communication with external partners such as licensors, inventors, suppliers, and distributors both nationally and internationally through relevant stages of product development.
  • Maintain management reports and ensure data integrity in information systems.

    Work Hours:

    8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

    8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday

    30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

    Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

    Moose also provides flexible working options.

    Salary Band: USD $80,000 - $90,000

    Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery, may need to reach, stoop, kneel to access items.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • Frequently communicates with other employees and third-parties, must be able to speak clearly and exchange accurate information.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
