Product Marketing Manager, Monetization

Hybrid in office 3 - 4 days per week - NY, NY, Mountain View, CA or Bellvue, WA

Our client is one of the largest local news platforms in the US & defines a new way for users to engage with local news. They help a new generation of readers find and engage with vital, locally published content and information. They are expanding their team and looking for senior talents to accelerate growth – including a Product Marketing Manager, Monetization.

Responsibilities

  • Launch new features to the public with strategic communications that drive adoption and engagement.
  • Collaborate with product teams during early development stages to craft messaging strategies.
  • Establish guidelines for messaging and develop promotional assets during testing phases.
  • Gather input from users and stakeholders to refine and optimize features.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the company's advertising platform and its capabilities.
  • Develop comprehensive support materials, including playbooks, FAQs, and training guides.
  • Lead internal training sessions for sales, account management, and partner teams.
  • Design and implement onboarding email campaigns to ensure seamless experiences for advertisers.
  • Create scalable resources such as webinars, tutorial videos, and multimedia content to enhance feature adoption.
  • Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, adoption metrics, and marketing initiatives.
  • Spearhead efforts for scalable growth through events, training programs, and cross-department marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze adoption rates, onboarding effectiveness, and campaign performance.
  • Work with analytics teams to assess marketing outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with teams across product, engineering, sales, and customer success to ideate, test, and refine strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Build and engage a community of users and advertisers through thoughtful communication and impactful campaigns.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in ad tech, digital marketing, or a similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with marketing teams and launching innovative products.
  • Proficiency with tools like SQL, Amplitude, MODE, and project management platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a proven capacity to transform data into actionable strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, email, and social media.
  • Familiarity with UX principles to boost user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Experience in fostering online communities and managing B2B partnerships.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience in developing content for various formats.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in dynamic and ambiguous environments.

Annual Base Pay Range

$125,000 - $175,000 USD
