This position will be responsible for processing and coordinating Return to Vendor (RTV) material, obtaining Return Material Authorization (RMA), perform Quality reviews on outgoing shipments in the Shipping department, and process scrap.In this important role, the Quality Engineer'sresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Applies quality principles in the areas of: design,incoming material, production control, productevaluation, program performance, reliability,inventory control, and/or research and developmentas they apply to product or process quality for makeand/or buy products. Performs technical evaluationsincluding product requirements, specifications,models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions andcorrective/preventive action. Ensures correctivemeasures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Developsstrategies and systems designed to improve internaland/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identificationand correction. Designs and analyzes inspection andtesting processes, mechanisms and equipment;conducts product quality tests, performs statisticalanalysis to assess products or materials that do notmeet required standards and specifications. Engagesin supplier selection process and maintaincertification programs. Identify root causes and associated correctiveactions, evaluate process/product performance, andparticipate/interface with the engineering andproduction counterparts on program activities toassure processes and products are compliant tocontractual requirements and proactive actions takento prevent recurrence. Ability to evaluate and disposition productionnonconforming hardware and analyze defect data toidentify systemic issues and trends Provide inputs to the Production QPM on productQA tasking, as required, to ensure sound laborestimates on ECPs and on-going proposal efforts Ability to verify systems are 100% compliant to therequirements and to present systems to customerrepresentative(s) for acceptance Support, participate and execute strategies relatedto the roll-out of advanced manufacturing. Thisincludes Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping,Lean Manufacturing, etc.) Conduct data validation, statistical data analysis,and presentation of Quality metrics as part of theQMS for manufacturing Conduct process audits in accordance with internalprocesses and AS9100 standardWHY JOIN USWe believe that flexibility is the future of work. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $52,800 - $101,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $60,700 - $114,400.
