The Product Team Director will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for their portfolio, developing the annual business plan (SIOP Weeks I through IV, and operational strategy), and ensuring the delivery and execution of the plan. This includes managing investments and operations to meet or exceed the annual plan while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
The primary objective is to maximize revenue, profit, and cash flow for the product line by driving product strategy, operational strategy, business strategy, program execution, and leveraging technologies to create differentiated products that address current and emerging market needs.
This role will oversee a matrix organizational structure, managing day-to-day functional areas supporting the Integrated Product Team (IPT), including Quality, FSE, Inside Sales, Planning, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, Operations, Business Development, and Business Administration.
Responsibilities
Product Portfolio Management: Drive the product portfolio through all lifecycle phases, including identifying new opportunities, developing business cases, pricing strategies, program execution, product support, and next-generation offerings.Strategic Development: Contribute to internal business strategy, including market analysis, product and technology roadmaps, and other market assessments. Align technology investments with product needs for current and future developments.Program and Proposal Oversight: Manage program and proposal performance through direct oversight of the Program Management team. Coordinate with functional teams to meet resource requirements.Customer Engagement: Maintain responsiveness to key customers, ensuring successful program capture and execution.Financial Performance: Maximize profit and cash flow by achieving or exceeding key business metrics, including gross margin, inventory turns, and program execution measures.Operational Planning: Create and execute the Annual Operation Plan, including capital and headcount requirements, staying within budget and meeting SIOP forecasts.Key Performance Indicators: Drive product sales, market share, customer satisfaction, operational KPIs, and the achievement of New Product Introduction (NPI) business cases.Leadership and Collaboration: Champion change, thought leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Business Development, Operations, and other Functional Leaders to achieve shared goals.Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including supporting functions.At least 4 years in Operations Management.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
