Quad has an exciting opportunity for a Production Artist to work hybrid with one of our clients in Carlisle, PA. A successful candidate will use their experience in desktop layout design to exceed client expectations and interpret client directions to create layouts and requested corrections within our fast paced environment. The purpose of this position is to assemble and process high-resolution layouts to provide our customers with superior quality press ready files. Qualified candidates will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and exceptional communication skills is a must. Previous file management and customer service experience preferred.

Hybrid schedule - 2 days at home, 3 days in office

Responsibilities:

  • Create and produce page layouts that promote the client's brand and sales objectives

  • Production of highly versioned Retail advertising pages and proofs

  • Creation, review and publishing of annotated print proofs

  • Final production change and alteration validation and review

  • Creation of advertising market breakdown and versioning of base ads for print

  • Work with brand standards and guidelines

  • Collaborate with account manager

  • Work with pagination and product mix to develop page layouts and final page production

  • Produce four-color and black and white page versions

  • Prepare final files for print and digital production

  • Work efficiently through high volumes, meeting tight deadlines within established budgets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or related field, preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience designing and producing marketing support materials

  • Knowledge of creating and working with templates and style sheets; including page formatting of copy, placing photos and artwork; producing multiple versions

  • Proficiency in all Mac-based, industry-standard software programs including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Knowledge of the Windows platform

  • Experience with data-driven page production

  • Knowledge of all steps required for the print process and an understanding of production methods to ensure designs can be produced for print delivery
