Production Assembler - Alamo Group : Job Details

**ob Summary:**Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble machinery.**Duties and Responsibilities:**+ Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures+ Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to meet Quality Standards+ Proficient use of equipment required by the job function+ Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines+ Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor+ Assemble equipment for final operation+ Perform troubleshooting as required+ Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done+ Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.**Education and Experience Requirements:**+ High school diploma or equivalent+ Previous production assembly experience is preferred+ Ability to perform basic math (add subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers in addition to understanding fractions and decimals)+ Possess basic language skills (can read/and understand written instructions)+ Ability to identify and use a variety of assembly tools and methods+ Possess basic/general knowledge in reading/understanding schematics+ Understand equipment performance requirements**Physical Requirements:**+ Unimpaired speech, hearing and sight (continuous)+ Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting (intermittent)+ Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to chest high shelving**Note:**This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.Alamo Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
