PRODUCTION ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Mid-Week/EventsFull/Part TimeOverview/Purpose:The Production Assistant Director is a role that has one primary area of focus, while providing general support across the team. The primary focus of this role is midweek event coordination and execution. The Production Assistant Director will work with every ministry to capture vision, coordinate details, and execute midweek events requiring Production Team support. The role will often require working alongside serve team and helping lead events and occasionally weekend services. The Production Assistant Director is a flexible role that will have responsibilities across a wide variety of tasks under the direction of the Production Director.Staff ResponsibilitiesModeling Biblical PrioritiesA passion for GodA passion for ministryResponsible for upholding biblical priorities and core values of Heights ChurchModels a strong and growing relationship with ChristDisplays a Christ-like attitude in words and actions, with humilityDisplays Christian leadership by using foundational spiritual qualitiesDisplays working knowledge of stewardship and demonstrates fiscal responsibilityGeneral ResponsibilitiesWithin the Production department, the Production Assistant Director will be responsible for the following:Maintenance of spaces and equipmentAssist with regular cleaning and maintenance across all spaces including the Prescott location, Park Collective, and the online location to keep equipment operating at peak performance and maintain a hospitable environment for Serve Team, Staff, and guests.Create, resource and maintain a regular schedule of cleaning and maintenance including but not limited to dusting, sanitizing, and organizing.Maintain a safe environment for staff and serve team members.Oversee, maintain and order appropriate cleaning supplies as needed.Ministry Events and SupportSet up, troubleshoot, and run audio, video, and lighting for events and services as needed including mid-week services, events, and projects.Provide insight and support to other ministries for, but not limited to, mid-week events, weekend events, and the weekend services. This may include planning, setup, and running events.Provide inside support to staff and serve team in your area of focus.Production Assistant Director ResponsibilitiesAs the Production Assistant Director, you will be responsible for the following:Develop methods to create clear and creative environments for all people alongside the Production Director.Attend meetings as applicable and as assigned by the Production Director.Build, maintain systems and methods for your area of focus.Assist with weekend services through operating audio, video, or lighting systems.Step in and help in all areas, as needed or directed by the Production Director.Plan and execution of projects alongside Production DirectorAssist in Annual Budget planningServe TeamDevelop, schedule and facilitate serve team and staff training alongside the Production Director.Recognize Serve team giftings and provide additional training, if serve team desires.Continue to manage, coach and develop serve team in coordination with the Production Director.Mid-WeekProvide support for the Production team.Be willing and flexible to fill in any production staff/serve team roles, as needed.Provide team care and encouragement.Produce or assist the Producer in carrying out the vision for the event.Assist with church wide events and weekend services, as needed.Resource Production Manager, as needed.Ensure each event has Production support, staff and/or serve team.Area of FocusWork with every ministry to capture vision, coordinate details, and execute midweek events requiring Production Team support.Continue to learn, develop and integrate new methods or techniques into Production systems and or equipment.Provide training to ministries on production systems and equipment, when applicable.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTSA personal relationship with Jesus ChristExperience in live video, lighting, and sound engineering. Expert in each area is not required.Willingness to learn and operate video, lighting, and audio and be able to step into different roles as needed.Highly relational (caring and personable on an individual level)Effective communication skills with team membersSelf-starter - able to work independently in a disciplined mannerDemonstrated innovative and creative approach to ministryAdministrative and organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyMust be versatile and collaborative team player with the ability to work as a team and independentlyProficiency in Planning Center, ProPresenter, Microsoft suite, and Google suite.Demonstrated ability to project a professional Heights image through in-person, video, email, and phone interactionProven ability to use good judgment and ability to maintain confidentialityPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
