Production Assistant - Word on Fire : Job Details

Production AssistantReports to ProducerThe Production Assistant works under the direction of the Producer and supports the work of the Production Lead to assist in the capture and creation of photographic and video content for distribution across Word on Fire platforms and social media channels.Location: Rochester, MNEmployment Type: Full-timePlease submit a reel or samples of your videos/images if you have them.Responsibilities

• Operate cameras, lights, microphones and recording software as directed
• Capture behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos and videos during production and events to be shared via social media
• Assist with audio and video recording in the Word on Fire studio as directed
• Makes basic post-production edits as assigned
• Cut short video clips from larger content for promotional purposes and social media posts as directed
• Assist in the facilitation of all areas of production as assigned including but not limited to tasks related to event coverage, studio video projects, on-location projects, post-production, and craft services

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for production and video creation
• Great organizational skills with a close attention to detail
• Ability to travel frequently, work occasional weekends and odd hours as needed
• Commitment to the mission of Word on Fire

• Familiarity with video production processes
• Basic understanding of video lighting methods
• Technical and aesthetic awareness
• Interest in filmmaking and photography
• High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills
